Okamoto Studio x Governors Island (2023)

Okamoto Studio is excited to once again join Governors Island in hosting its second annual Winter Ice Sculpture Show on February 18, 2023!

Located inside the Island’s Winter Village, NYC-based artists are encouraged to submit ice sculpture designs for evaluation by January 20th. Once selected, 10 artists (or artist teams) will be awarded $2,000 to participate and will be paired alongside a professional ice carver from Okamoto Studio to help bring their original designs to life.

*An introductory ice carving orientation will be provided to all selected participants prior to the event.
